In this post, I am going to show you how to unsubscribe from Etisalat’s daily data plan. The daily data plan is one of the most subscribed plans in Nigeria. This is because it is very cheap compared to the other plans.
It costs only N50 for 75MB which can last for a whole day. If you are not careful, you may end up being charged for the next day when you haven’t exhausted your current day’s data plan.
So, how can we stop the auto-renewal of this plan? Just follow these steps:
- Dial 22974*133#.
- You will receive an SMS asking if you want to unsubscribe from auto-renewal. Reply with NO or 1.
And that’s it! You will no longer be charged N50 automatically after 24 hours. You will have to manually dial the same code again if you want to subscribe to another day.

Conclusion
For better network coverage, make sure your device settings are correct. Do not limit the frequency. Let it run until it reaches the daily or monthly limit then automatically stop.
Also if you’re using multiple data plans, make sure they’re all correctly applied to your line and that the “Automatic renewal” option is enabled.
