GDT Launches Digital Drivers License Through Absher Individuals and Tawakkalna Apps

The General Directorate of Traffic (GDT) in Saudi Arabia has introduced the digital driver’s license. Through the electronic applications “Absher Individuals” and “Tawakkalna” from the Ministry of Interior. In a Tweet, GDT stated that the driver’s license card can be replaced with the digital version of the license.
The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) collaborated with the GDT to build the digital version of the driver’s license, and security authorities have reportedly approved it. GDT added that a smart device can save the digital driver’s license with the QR Code and utilize it without an Internet connection.
